Adventures in Furniture is a proudly independent furniture company with three showrooms across London. For over 30 years, theyโ€™ve been dedicated to crafting the UKโ€™s finest quality furniture, combining solid materials, traditional craftsmanship, and contemporary designs.

As an independent business, their customers are at the heart of everything they do, ensuring every piece of furniture is as unique as the homes itโ€™s destined for.

Brief

The client approached us with a clear goal: to improve the visibility of their “extending dining tables” page. At the time, all target keywords were buried on Page 3 of Google or beyond, making it difficult for potential customers to discover their superb products offering.

With the competitive nature of retail, we were having to compete with household industry brands including Made.com, Furniture Village, IKEA, Next and Dunelm. Although many are not considered direct competitors from a target audience perspective, we still had to implement a strategy to help AIF compete with these brands online.

Process

To tackle this challenge, we implemented a three-pronged SEO strategy:

  • Keyword Mapping: We conducted in-depth research to identify high-value keywords relevant to the clientโ€™s product range. These were strategically mapped to the “extending dining tables” page to align with user intent and search behavior.
  • Content Optimisation: The page content was refined to better resonate with both search engines and users. This included improving on-page elements like meta titles, descriptions, headers, and body copy, ensuring the content was engaging, informative, and valuable to website visitors.
  • Strategic Backlink Generation: We executed a targeted backlink campaign, focusing on securing high-quality links from both authoritative and relevant publishers. This involved meticulous research and personalised outreach to ensure the links were both relevant and impactful.

Our efforts delivered measurable success over a six-month period:

  • 8 target keywords climbed to Page 1 of Google, significantly improving visibility.
  • Among these, the high-traffic keyword “extendable dining tables” (27,100 average monthly searches) achieved a prominent position, driving substantial organic traffic.
  • Organic traffic increased by 61%, comparing Q1-Q2 to Q3-Q4 2025, bringing more potential customers to the clientโ€™s website and showrooms.
